8th Portsmouth Scout Group

Scouts is open to any young person in the UK, depending on their age. Scouts is split up into four sections; Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers. The 8th Portsmouth cater to Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. If your child is aged between 5¾ and 14, then he or she is eligible to join Scouting!

To ask about joining, simply email one of our leaders and let them know that your child is interested in joining, or come along to one of the meetings at the Church of the Holy Spirit and speak to the leaders there.

Beavers
Age: 5¾ - 8
Contact: Kirsty Moss (Hathi)
Beavers meet on Tuesdays from 5pm until 6:15pm 

Cubs
Age: 8 - 10½
Contact: Kirsty Moss (Hathi)
Cubs meet on Tuesdays from 6:30pm until 8pm
Cubs is not currently open to new members at this time, but feel free to get in contact to get placed on the waiting list.

Scouts
Age: 10½ - 14
Contact: Alan Burgess (Skip)
Scouts meet on Fridays from 7:15pm until 9:30pm 

We're also looking for adult volunteers interested in joining Scouting as Leaders. Please get in touch with us for more information on training!
